And so I found it - this was the gorgeous treasury that was featured on Etsy's home page. With my ring in it!

Made the Etsy front page!
My little silver rose ring made the front page of Etsy yesterday - yeay!
Of course in the excitement I forgot to save the page to show everyone, but believe me, it was there!
Ps. I am still around, sorry for the lack of posts... have just been a little bit busy with the craft shop! :)

7 Days from Launch to Landing
This little spaceship has just landed. In Boston. It took 7 days from its launch date in London to reach its destination across the pond. I feel reassured that I no longer have to warn my US customers that their pieces may take over a month to arrive, like I had to over Christmas after the snow here, and then the snow there.
We may be a long way away from supersonic delivery times yet, but a week to the US makes me really quite happy.

Confirmed Geek
I always knew I was a geek, having loved maths from an early age, and sitting down to read dictionaries for fun - but now I have had this confirmed by being asked to join Etsy's Astro&Neutrino team - a team of makers which describes itself as follows:
"Astro&Neutrino is all about the awe. That feeling of amazement when you look at the complex and beautiful structure of the universe and the things it prompts you to make. Astro&Neutrino isn't about exclusivity or limits. It does not focus on computers, astronomy or science fiction, instead it embraces the many variants of geekiness.
We like to be in touch with other artists and crafters interested in science, science-fiction and generally geeky pursuits. From Astrophysics to Natural History, from ferns to fossils, from dyodes to dendrites, we would love the team to be a meeting point for geeks with different interests. "
This is it!! They "got" my work! I've always seen my work as a depiction of what I see, re-worked with a touch of whimsy and a lot of humour, but as I went along I started to notice lines of similarity, similar themes running across my work, and they appear to be centred on nature, outer space, science and childhood.
Make sure you visit the team's page and the individual pages of the talented members of the group.
Happy to be a confirmed geek!

New Year New Shop!
Not content with just one shop, I have opened a second! This time however, the shop will sell supplies to make jewellery - and a very particular kind of jewellery in fact - personalised photo/image jewellery.
The shop is called Jasmin Studio Crafts and lives online here. It also has its own blog you can follow and its own Facebook page for news and special offers - do stop by!
The items for sale in the shop are designed to allow you to make all sorts of lovely keepsake jewellery, be it a pair of cufflinks with a picture of your kiddlies, or a pendant that you have decorated yourself. Here you will find all the glass, glazes, glues, and jewellery findings needed to make your own unique pieces.
Come by, have a look, say hello!

Happy Homes
I'm so glad when I know that my pieces go to a happy home where they'll be looked after and shown off. This became the case for one of my little fine silver brushes recently.
This little brush came to be owned by the lovely Nancy from the Netherlands. Nancy is a talented artist, and her miniature oil painting jewellery pieces are truly beautiful works of art. These are two of my favourite works by Nancy (out of many!):
How apt then that her loving husband should give her the silver brush for her birthday present. And how sweet of Nancy to blog about it after receiving it! This confirmed my suspicion that the brush was going to a lovely person.
Read Nancy's blog entry here.
And do visit Nancy's Etsy shop for more beautiful pieces of wearable art.

Keeping Calm
I have had a few days when I felt like I was in some crazed spin cycle. And that lovely old wartime poster told me everything I needed to be told. So to return the favour, I reproduced it in solid silver. Now I just need to repeat its mantra a hundred times.
It's in the shop - here.
